Four weeks to go...

It has been a while since I first started this blog and with it being just 4 weeks before we leave I thought I should bring it up to date.

The most common greeting these days seems to be "Are you packed yet?" The truth is we haven't even started. Trying to combine getting ready to leave with teaching just doesn't seem to work so it has only been the essential paper work that has progressed over the last few weeks.

Some how it still all seems rather unreal. We have just got back from our UK based orientation full of facts about topics such as cross-cultural ministry, security and health but it is still hard to believe that this time in four weeks we will probably already be at Gatwick.

I've just got two days left at school and inspite of doing a lot of tidying up etc it hasn't sunk in that I won't be back in September.

Please could you pray that:
  • We will continue to be kept at peace over the next four weeks with all that needs to be done

  • That arrangements for Katie's placement in Brazil would be finalised before we leave

  • That we would be able to make the right decisions over Jaydon and Courtney's schooling when we arrive

  • That the girls would adjust to their new surroundings and find friends quickly.

  • That we would be given grace to cope and be positive with which ever church we go to, as there are no English speaking churches.

  • That we would kept spiritually close to God as we settle in and cope with all that needs to be done
